My Story.
I love words. They can inspire us, motivate us, and challenge us. A single word can feel like coming home. The identifying words above, and the values I hold, feel that way to me. A returning home - to self.

I grew up on a rural horse farm in Missouri with my identical twin sister and biologist parents. My unique childhood experiences, time spent tour guiding in Alaska, and work as an artist-teacher-administrator have greatly influenced the ways in which I view the world. I am passionate about protecting the natural world, and frequently find that passion to be an inspirational foothold for furthering my own desire to better the world one human connection at a time.

CAREER

I have performed around the country with professional theatre and tour excursion companies, from remote Alaska to Vermont and many places in between. I have also worked in many other facets of theatre, public service, and tourism.

Currently, I am the Recruitment Coordinator and Special Projects Administrator, and an acting instructor in the Department of Theatre & Dance at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I meet with prospective theatre and dance students, manage applications, and work closely with the department's internationally recognized faculty. I am the Chair of our Recruitment Committee and manage my student recruitment team who assist me with events. I coordinate all off- and on-campus recruitment events, auditions, and interviews for BFA/BA/BS Theatre and Dance programs, and represent our departmental Unit for the Office of Admissions' targeted events. I also assist with our Department's academic and administrative course load, build, and permissions each semester. We are proud to offer a wide range of competitive degree options that include Musical Theatre, Acting, Design and Technology, Dance, Theatre Education, Directing, Stage Management, and Theatre Creation.

I am a student success advocate and dedicate myself to the pursuit of lifelong learning. I am especially proud to be a part of a professional and caring community of academics who foster emerging great artists, and who recruit good humans who each carry the potential to become great.
